Jazz Legacy Films is an independent production company that focuses on Jazz music, Jazz musicians and Jazz Culture.

Brian Grady started filming live Jazz performances and interviewing musicians in 2001. since then he’s created Electronic Press Kits, short subject documentaries and performance DVDs for artists in the New York Metro area. He started Jazz Legacy Fims in 2004 and was awarded The Director’s Citation Award from The Black Maraia Film Festival in 2007.

He is currently in post-porduction on his first feature length documentary called “Shiny Stockings”.

Shiny Stockings is the story of the life and music of Composer Arranger Frank Foster.

The Film is scheduled for festival release in February 2011.

As a New York Foundation for the Arts sponsored project donations for the completion of “Shiny Stockings” are tax-deductible.
